Organizers today announced sixteen of the headliners who will perform at the U.S. leg of the 7-continent, 24-hour Live Earth concerts on 7/7/07. The concert will be held at Giants Stadium in New Jersey, according to Live Earth Founder and Executive Producer Kevin Wall. Tickets for the show go on sale Monday, April 16 at 10 a.m. EDT. All proceeds will go to The Alliance for Climate Protection and other international NGOs (non-governmental organizations).

“We hope the energy created by Live Earth will jump start a massive public education effort,” Live Earth Co-Chair Vice President Al Gore said. “Live Earth will help us reach a tipping point that’s needed to move corporations and governments to take decisive action to solve the climate crisis.”

The U.S. show will feature live on stage:

Kelly Clarkson and NASCAR: Going Together Like Suits of Armor and Electrical Storms!

Kelly Clarkson

NASCAR

Kelly Clarkson (yeah, I love her. What of it?) is proud to have just inked the largest partnership contract ever between NASCAR and a musical artist. She will be "integrated into all aspects of NASCAR," according to a NASCAR statement.

Who's gonna drive the Kelly Clarkson Ford? Will it beDale Jarrett? Mark Martin? That's what I gotta know. (Alright, they won't emblazon a car with her face, but it's an amusing thought.)

Will Dale, Jr. be asking KC for her autograph on the infield before a race? Will anyone be catching my "Talladega Nights" references?

Oh, and 29 days until the Daytona 500.

Kelly Clarkson To Play Bamboozle '07?

If process of elimination works out correctly, Kelly Clarson will be playing Bamboozle in '07 along with My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park. Personally, I think KC is way cooler than either of those bands, but I suppose that will only make her look even better when she rocks the mic. Source: VH1.
