Baltimore City Council Prepared To Vote On Citywide Smoking Ban

Baltimore Sun

The Baltimore Sun reports that the Baltimore City Council is one step closer to a vote on a citywide smoking ban. The vote was previously stalled, but is set for a final vote in two weeks. The bill has six supporters but will need two more to pass final muster.

According to the Sun, "If Baltimore approves a smoking ban, it will join New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and dozens of other large cities that have imposed some form of smoking restrictions. Large cities that have not approved such bans include Memphis, Tenn., and Charlotte, N.C."
