Quite often, I am just behind the curve on posting about new releases and hot items that I get wind of, just because I can't keep up with my inbox. The release of Tongues
by Kieran Hebden and Steve Reid is one of those times. The album came out on March 20. Tongues is an explosion of improvisational sound, recorded live with no overdubs. Fans of egghead jazz, uncategorizable electronic experimentation, and plain weird sounds will be into this. Domino Records has made two MP3s available from the album: "The Sun Never Sets" and "People Be Happy / Rhythm Dance (Audion's Highlight Mix)".
